Excellent charity run animal hospital, they really care about what they do and the animals in their care. True thankful too them and the surgery done on my cat to remove the lumps he had on his back leg. Nice and friendly staff deserve every penny they get.
Superb. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well done to the whole team.

We enjoyed the most wonderful paddle boarding trip on Sunday 3rd Of June organised by City Paws Club in association with Active 360. From start to finish all the people involved were friendly, professional and helpful. Great start when all dogs were offered treats to help make friends. Both humans and dogs were kitted out with life jackets, then we had a safety briefing and on shore demo, before launching the boards and setting off. Matt from City Paws Club and the instructors from Active 360 made sure they were on hand to offer advice and encouragement and also point out places of interest onshore - a very good ratio of experienced people to beginners. We had a stop off on the shore to allow the humans to rest and the dogs to stretch their legs while the tide turned (making travel back to base easier). It was possible to leave bags securely back at base with a change of clothes - needed by some of us who ended up going for a swim! As it was a hot day it was actually rather refreshing. The base has a hot shower (could do with 2, but it was good there was one) and changing rooms/toilets. Wonderful to spend time with such a friendly group of people and wonderful dogs. Looking forward to going again, and highly recommend it to anyone who loves spending quality fun time with their dog.
Once again a fabulous experience with City paws club day care and home from home boarding. Our dog Lady (a dachshund) has spent the last week being wonderfully looked after by Matt and the team. She always has a great time and we know she is safe and well looked after, while we were away on holiday. Great service, we would highly recommend them.

Acres is quite simply amazing. The level of care and attention they give to each dog is incredible and everyone who works there is a genuine dog lover. When you’re entrusting your beloved pup to day care you want to know from the moment they’re collected to the moment they get home they’re in safe hands. We’ve used Acres for 5 years and we have not had a single problem in that time – Bertie comes home super contented every night having played his heart out all day long. When we started investigating the options for day care Acres blew us away with how focused they are on the dog’s needs (air conditioning in the back of the vans for example so the pups are kept cool in summer not just the drivers) and how open they were at showing us the facilities. Ever since then we’ve only been more and more impressed – the swimming pool is Bertie’s favourite hang out in the summer but no matter how much time he spends in there (or in muddy puddles when the weather isn’t so good) he’s always dropped home clean, dry and happy My only regret is that I don’t work there myself!!!
Excellent, friendly staff and a happy, contented and tired dog guaranteed.

This was an invaluable adventure and I would recommend anyone who is interested in he development sector, enjoys volunteering or just looking to do something different from their normal 9-5. Right from the start AFID provide support to help you through your placement. They put you in touch with previous volunteers and also hold workshops to prepare you for your trip. It put me at ease before I travelled. You can choose the duration you like I did 3 week placement in Kenya but volunteers can do more or less. It’s definitely worth the adventure. If you are not sure get in touch anyway. I was swayed once I contacted AFID and found out more.
Taking a volunteer role with AFiD changed my life for good, I was looking for a possibility to help others with my accounting and finance background and we made it happened. Now I am happily working in Kenya sharing my experience with young professionals of a social enterprise that is improving the lives of families living off-grid in rural areas. In these three years with AFiD's partners, what I have received in return as appreciation, friendship and recognition to my work is much more than my initial fears to move to the development and charity sector.

Excellent place to find expensive branded items at a cheap price. Also a good feeling when you know that all money goes to people in need.
Very good store to donate your used clothes ~
