Consistently good experiences here. Friendly and knowledgable staff throughout. The building is maze-like, so allow yourself some extra time when visiting! The Drexciyan subway was a nice surprise.
My clinic has just been moved here from Charing Cross hospital. First impressions were that Hammersmith Hospital is a lot older building, and it wasn't very clear how to get to Outpatients from the reception entrance. After some accurate directions from a security man, I found where I needed to be. Check in is by touch screen and gives information on where to sit. The announcement system to call patients is very good. It combines a voice message, with a large screen display telling you which room to go to. Seating was comfortable and well laid out. Appointments were running around 30 minutes late, but at least there are white boards showing the expected delay and these are updated frequently. Much better than any other hospital I've been to. Waiting time for a blood test was very long. I took number 49 when 25 was shown on the screen. I waited around 40 minutes to be seen. It is sensible to use that time to book your next appointment. Queueing again was rather long. This time around 15 minutes. I got the impression that the staff were trying their best to provide a good service. They appeared to be working as quickly as possible, but the computer systems in operation seem to be slow and cumbersome to enter data into. One fact that wasn't dealt with, was that although there was a water dispenser available, the cups had run out. Next time I'll take a bottle to fill up. Parking is available at the front of the hospital, but I'm not sure what it's like as I used a scooter to travel there. There is dedicated solo motorcycle parking by the entrance, and also cycle racks. Both are convenient and free to use. The nearest tube station is East Acton and there are bus services running right outside the hospital. I know one route goes via Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith.

My 3 years old son had sleeping study at this hospital on Monday 12/02/2018. It was my first visit. We received an excellent care by doctors and nurses. Nurse's particaly were amazing and they have done everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for your amazing work. Well done!
I have experienced RBH since 1994 first with my wife and then as a patient. The medical care is outstanding in every way, the staff caring and professional and the ambience is friendly and reassuring. Sir Reginald Wilson Ward is the best place in the world to be if you are ill. Please fight to keep this wonderful institution alive for the future, it is irreplaceable,

Urgent care facilities are clean, modern, and well maintained. There is also a children’s waiting room so the adults one is also reasonably quiet. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. Doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and can explain your diagnoses in plain English. I was seen within 45 minutes although I imagine that it can take considerably longer at peak times. Good bus links with several pharmacies nearby.
After waiting 4 hours in pain at another A&E I was told that they would not be able to help me and then I was referred to the this one, and although the aforementioned A&E failed to call ahead and pass along my details I was seen to very quickly and within an hour I was booked in for an operation the following morning. Everyone I came into contact with during my time there were well mannered, empathic and professional. This made me feel much more at ease as it was my first time being admitted to hospital and I was extremely nervous. Every step of what was happening was explained to me, I was always asked if I understood and had any questions. Very clean facilities and excellent bedside manners from the staff. The service I received here was nothing short of excellent.
