Banks

TSB Bank

9 King St, Hammersmith, London W6 9HR, UK – 020 8748 6009

Branches of TSB are very few and far between yet they offer the most comprehensive awards for current accounts and linked savings. Here is one in your doorstep. If you've read it watched the ads give a real person a go from the off.Theres a naive welcome charm about the rotation of the window logos. I like good old fashioned humour.

Came inside 16:00 on saturday and still received help that i need. Good work, friendly, starting the conversation all the time :)

HSBC

593 - 599 Fulham Road, Fulham, London SW6 5UA, UK – 0345 740 4404

Excellent service, can be busy at times but the staff always do their best to help.

HSBC

95 Gloucester Rd, South Kensington, London SW7 4SX, UK – 0345 740 4404

It's a bank. Decent speed of servoce on most days I've visited and plenty of automated machines.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I visited this HSBC branch in order to open my savings account and get some more information about my existing ISA help to buy. The team was extremely helpful, kind, informative, attentive and professional. I don't usually review places but you guys really deserved it! Big thanks to Pooja and Dominik!

Building Societies

Nationwide

146 Uxbridge Rd, Shepherd's Bush, London W12 8AT, UK – 0800 554 0296

I've moved from this branch. Although conveniently located on the north side of Shepherds Bush Green it has an annoying double entry door that doesn't always work very efficiently and it is easy to collide with people even though you're not supposed to be able to. Watch out if you're struggling with a wet umbrella. Why do these places hardly ever have a bucket to deposit them in. Can get super busy in here with a queue that never seems to move. You can also wait a long time to speak to an advisor.

Great customer service. Very friendly staff. Barely any queuing

Local Chambers of Commerce for W14 8HJ. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. Town Hall

Hornton St, Kensington, London W8 7NX, UK – 020 7361 3000

Good place but the council lacks efficiency

Pretty good as a conference venue, have been here for Astrofest every year for years.

Hammersmith Town Hall

1 Riverside Gardens, Hammersmith, London W6 9LE, UK – 020 8748 3020

Business development and networking.

Local town hall, can get very busy within and in the summer poorly ventilated.

Chelsea Old Town Hall

Chelsea Old Town Hall, King's Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 5EE, UK – 020 7361 2220

Chelsea Old Town Hall is an oasis of calm and quietness along the King's Road. The library is a welcome setting for retreating too. There is a great section in the library for children too.

Exceptional service, facilities and Registrars. Couldn't of asked for anything more for our special day. Lisa & Patricia made it what it was and are brilliant at what they do!

Dental Surgeries

Paddington Dental Practice

17 Craven Rd, Paddington, London W2 3BP, UK – 020 7723 6106

Don't really leave reviews but i just had to this time because credit is due when deserved and the service from Dr Gursharon Dhariwal was 1st class. I'm not a fan of any medical professions because they scare the life out of me but she made me feel so at ease and calm I was so thankful. Thank you again Doc!

I can’t recommend this practice enough. Treatment is world class and staff are very helpful and kind. I no longer dread the dentist!

Bupa Dental Care Chelsea

242-244 Fulham Rd, London SW10 9NA, UK – 020 7376 3330

I found Dr. Brigo to be a god send to deal with a stained tooth. I found the process stress free and the results amazing! Would highly recommend Dr. Brigo for any cosmetic repair work.

Seems to be a reoccurring pattern that Dr. Briggo is absolutely brilliant. I was incredibly embarrassed about the state of my teeth. She calmed my nerves and made me feel so at ease. I do not like the dentist but i felt as though i was in safe hands with this doc. Thank you!

Karma Dental Care Fulham

144 Wandsworth Bridge Rd, Fulham, London SW6 2UH, UK – 020 7736 0876

I have been coming to this dental practice for years and was previously a nervous patient. All the staff members are friendly and have always put me at ease. I had my teeth whitening done with Karnan and the result was amazing, completely exceeded my expectations. So happy and would highly recommend.

Karnan is an exceptional dentist. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes personal and professional pride in his work. Everything he and his team do is thoughtfully planned and carried out with precision and care. So so pleased with my composite veneers! He's the first dentist I trust implicitly. Very rare. Thank you Karma Dental Care.

The Bush Doctors

147 Shepherd's Bush Green, Hammersmith, London W12 8PP, UK – 020 8749 1882

Fantastic doctors who genuinely care about their patients. The reception team are helpful too. Getting appointments is tricky, but that's the standard in surgeries these days.

Great surgery, amazing staff. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dr Pamini is always thorough.

London Doctors Clinic Private GP

11.10, 20 Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington, London W2 6LG, UK – 020 8712 9378

I arrived around 10 minutes early to the clinic, signed in and told the receptionist my appointment details. I was told to sit down and wait. I was not called for my appointment until 10 minutes after my dedicated time and when I arrived to meet the doctor, it was assumed that I had arrived late as she did not know the reason why I had been called up late and had to rush my appointment. I did not feel entirely welcome because of this delay and was already relatively stressed out related to why I had booked an appointment to see the GP in the first place. The doctor was professional and did all she could to help me and had apologized for the delay. But I think there is some sort of miscommunication between your reception and your doctors. I don't think I will be returning because of this rather uncomfortable experience.

Great service! I only had a few hours in the UK between meetings and managed to get an appointment on the day exactly when I needed it. The consultation was thorough and helpful. Perfect.

The Fulham Medical Centre

446 Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 1BG, UK – 020 7385 6001

I'm not normally inclined to write reviews but I had to on seeing the ridiculous and inflammatory comments people have left below. This is a hugely busy surgery working in the heart of London, under the financial constraints we know effect all areas of the NHS. Yes, it is tricky to get an on-the-day appointment, but that isn't a problem exclusive to this surgery; that is the symptom of a hugely over-stretched, free public health service. I have pressed re-dial 80+ times on my phone at 8.30am to get my son an appointment, but once you get through and secure your appointment, the doctors are highly experienced, extremely pleasant individuals who really do go above and beyond the call of duty for their patients. Dr Pearson, in particular, is absolutely incredible and once emailed a prescription to a pharmacy close to where I was on holiday to make sure I got the medication I needed. I have always found the reception staff to be perfectly nice but they are understandably stretched at times. This really is an excellent surgery working in a crowded and very mixed area and it doesn't cost a penny for an appointment!

Very happy with the help I received here and I have no complaints. I visited when they were very busy, but I still got my appointment in reasonable time and was treated very professionally.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Hammersmith Hospital

Du Cane Rd, Shepherd's Bush, London W12 0HS, UK – 020 3313 1000

I have been a patient for over a year now and I can't fault the Staff I have dealt with during my appointments. Mr Murphy is a real kind man and I am very grateful for his care and the compassionate way he s looking after my uncomfortable condition. 5 stars from me

Former Patient at Auchi Dialysis department & now Renal Outpatients. Unbelievable one-to-one care by the nurses & healthcare assistants. A wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of the complexities of the comprehensive umbrella that is Renal failure and it's after affect and reaction which runs in parallel by the consultants. All other members of staff which complete Hammersmith Hospital were plesent and always keen to assist in any way they could. All of the above is undertaken on a relative shoe-string budget which without doubt has a direct affect on these members of staff. The Trust need to focus their attentions on engaging on key members of staff when identifying areas of the business to improve and other areas to reduce funding. I have witnessed many areas which require attention to improve the efficiency of the business and reducing the lost man-hours. A large push on permanent recruitment needs to be spear-headed from the top of the trust down to the wards and department where they are required the most. This drive would without question, hesitation or restructuring would be an easy route to save money due to reduction on agency workers. The new prospective permanent members of staff would add not just economic value, but more stability and efficiency to the wards and departments which they will be posted at. Well done to everyone involved.

Nightingale Hospital

11, 19 Lisson Grove, Marylebone, London NW1 6SH, UK – 020 7535 7700

Expensive but our consultant was excellent and saw massive improvement over 3 weeks. Food very good, room comfortable.

Royal Brompton Hospital

Sydney St, Chelsea, London SW3 6NP, UK – 020 7352 8121

I have been admitted twice for surgery at RBH and each time their service is amazing. Both outpatients and inpatient care delivery are of high standards, the staff and consultants were easy to talk to and responsive to my queries and concerns. Now that my heart is fixed, I might take on the joke of my lovely surgeon, Dr. Michael Rigby, to join the London marathon.🤞🏻Thank you so much to all the staff of Royal Brompton Hospital!

My 3 years old son had sleeping study at this hospital on Monday 12/02/2018. It was my first visit. We received an excellent care by doctors and nurses. Nurse's particaly were amazing and they have done everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for your amazing work. Well done!

St Thomas of Canterbury

60 Rylston Rd, Fulham, London SW6 7HW, UK – 020 7385 4040

We have lived nearby for nearly 2 years now and will be moving away from St Thomas in the next few months. What will we do? We intend to commute via bus because this is simply the best Church for us. Father Oscar and Father Dennis are insightful, friendly and offer intelligent sermons, prayers and stories. The congregation vary from babies to elderly and each and every person is very warm and inviting. Aesthetically the space is beautiful, always garnered with beautiful flower arrangements. To experience mass here is always pleasure, I would encourage anyone and everyone to come.

A "cathedral" hidden within Fulham. Sometimes, the flowers arranged there are a Heavenly sight to behold! The flowers today,Easter Sunday, were fantastic.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around West Kensington

Medlar Restaurant

438 King's Rd, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ, UK – 020 7349 1900

Food was very good, although not as dizzyingly high as some reviews might suggest. Perhaps, being a Monday, the top chefs are not in the house? The waiters were wonderful and engaging. The venue is very nice. I would definitely go back, as I think there is more to come from the food.

In my option Medlar is good quality ingredients cooked well, but nothing taste or combination wise that will excite the adventurous diner. I feel it’s aimed at the old school rich diner that doesn’t want extravagant flavours, just hearty food done perfectly. I personally like to spend my money in a place that is exciting and provides me with new taste experiences. Feed back - sommelier only made one suggestion when we asked for his advice and went straight to the top of the price range we’d suggested. I expect a couple of suggestions price and style wise and to be asked what I’m eating if they are to make a suitable suggestion. Raw scallop starter was tiny, unnecessarily so Our wine glasses kept being overfilled.

Wildwood

154-156 Gloucester Rd, Kensington, London SW7 4TD, UK – 020 7370 0070

Perfect restaurant 🍴 Pizza 🍕 Pasta 🍝 Grill. One of the best in this area. 154 - 156 Gloucester Road, SW7 4TD London. Perfect food choice, perfect and all so...delicious. Perfect wines collection. Perfect salads and favourites our family from all London restaurants. Friendly staffs... Price level = restaurant level, it's Good.

A nice Italian restaurant with a good variety of food - will most likely have something for everyone! High quality and well priced, it's hard to fault. Recommend the pizzas here as they are brilliant. Staff are also very friendly and nice. In terms of atmosphere, it's closer to a Jamie's Italian than a little rustic Italian. So if you are after a cosy candlelit dinner, then this isn't the place. Great for a family or a group of friends though!

Maze Grill Park Walk

11 Park Walk, Chelsea, London SW10 0AJ, UK – 020 7255 9299

Awesome. Delicious. Gracious staff. Walked in without a reservation, sat at the bar and had an outstanding meal and experience. Totally great. The salads were great, the sushi was great, the pork chop was great. I've been to a lot of places and this is an easy 5 stars.

Probably the best restaurant experience ever. We took advantage of the Taste of Summer deal here in August last year and were treated to a fabulous kitchen tour and the most incredibly presented, perfectly cooked taste sensations. Ramsey, had he been there that night, would not have been disappointed.

I used to be a student there, in 2010-2011 and I've gotta say one of the best moments of my life were at ICS! Miss it a lot...

The best academic and personal training to succeed in a complex world. As an academic and mother of two, I recommend ICS as the best option for international students.

Bousfield Primary School

S Bolton Gardens, Kensington, London SW5 0DJ, UK – 020 7373 6544

This is an excellent school, it provides so many people with help and learning opportunities. I loved my teachers Mr Fox and Mrs Pears for the kind natured teaching skills . I struggled after leaving this school as other schools can't compare or care for my learning. Needs. Barn dances in the hall was one of my favourite times there. Thanks.

This is an amazing school, full of light, green spaces and playgrounds, set in a lovely neighbour. I have 2 kids there and I am so impressed by the way they are tough, and the children are so happy to go to school. Staff is knowledgeable, respectful and kind, the head teacher is clearly doing a great job!

Hated it while I was there but the education it gave me set me up for life.

Spent seven years of my life here. It was a mixed experience... at times, the school has a tendency to spend rather a lot of money on things it really shouldn't.
